Rounding third...

Good Lord willing, our remodel is rounding third and heading for completion, "home"!!!
Dad and I finally have toilets in our respective bathrooms, and showerheads! Finally feeling a little more put together than Cousin Eddie in his camper!

In true Kemper fashion, we are not slowing down- our remodel ends on Tuesday, June 9th, and I have surgery on June 11th that will put me on two weeks bed rest to recover. Never a dull moment around here!
If you have been following along with us, you know that my primary concern is Dad's well-being and care every single day, but especially as I'm recovering. We will have home health aides filling in some of the time during my recovery, and on June 22nd, my Godmother and her husband are kindly coming to help. If you're available anytime from June 12th to ,June 24th to hang out with Dad please e-mail me (bos.dugout@gmail.com) and let me know when you'd like to come hang out with Pops.
We will also need help maintaining our bird feeders, gardening, and keeping our indoor plants alive as I recover.
My friend Cat has kindly put together a meal train for us: https://www.mealtrain.com/trains/o8v324
If it's easier to send DoorDash gift cards, there is a link on the Meal Train page that will allow you to do so.
If you're available to come help me put Dad's bedroom and my bedroom together on June 9th and June 10th, we would greatly appreciate it! Orion will be hanging out with Pops or locked in the basement, depending on who can come help out, since I know not everyone is a dog person!
Dad wasn't able to make Que4Care, but I stopped by to listen to some music and connect with Richard. It was so much fun to soak up the sunshine, listen to good music, watch Richard get dunked in the dunk tank, bring home good food, and know that the money I spent will help support pALS in need.

I also want to shout out the organization Live Like Lou (https://www.livelikelou.org/). Although Dad and I weren't able to make it to the Lou Gehrig game on Tuesday, they honored Dad (and me), and also generously gave me a scholarship that will allow me to tackle more classes and continue racing against the time bomb that is ALS. I'm a little bummed I didn't get to bring home the comically large check, just for fun! Thank you to my Aunt Brenda for getting pictures of the on-field ceremony and sharing them with me.

I have added a new page to highlight businesses that are working with the NKY ALS Walk. If you know of any local businesses that would be interested in having a booth or sponsoring the walk please direct them to this site, and I will be able to connect them with the right people!
Thank you to my cousin Emily, and my cousin Kenney for their donations to Bo's Dugout NKY ALS Walk team. Please donate here: https://secure.alsohio.org/site/TR/Endurance/General?pg=personal&px=1099351&fr_id=1190. Remember every donation over $50 means you get a Bo's Dugout t-shirt!!!
Thank you, all, for your continued support, prayers, love, and check-ins. We are so thankful to the people who have continuously and selflessly shown up.
